The latest rage in genealogy research is the DNA test.  People are finding out a lot about themselves and their connection to living relatives they never knew they had.   DNA test results may be difficult to interpret and even harder to determine how to make the most of results as they relate to researching your family history.  Professional genealogist Lisa Dougherty will be at the Visitors Center at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands to guide you through the fundamentals of DNA tests.  Learn how to make the most of your test by utilizing it as another tool to discover your family history!

Suggested donation is $5.

Space is limited.

Many people are surprised to learn there is a beautiful art gallery located in Historic St. Agnes Cemetery that displays artwork and is the setting for professionally guided art classes throughout the year.  The concept of an art gallery in a cemetery is a bit different to say the least.  The Gallery serves as a means for local artists to create, exhibit and sell their work. The museum quality tracks and cables are strong and secure, offering a safe and attractive means to display art.

If you are an artist in the Capital District interested in exhibiting work, contact our Gallery Manager Kelly Grimaldi at [email protected], or (518) 350-7679.

Exhibits run for 60 days and the artist is offered the opportunity to hold an artist’s reception for friends and family.  We also encourage group shows.
