Cub Scout Pack 1078 Project for Wreaths Across America:

We would like to thank Cub Scout Pack 1078 (St. Pius X) for their participation in Wreaths Across America on December 15, 2017.

This was the first year that the pack held a wreath sale fundraiser for placing wreaths on veterans graves and scout programs. The fundraiser provided over 70 wreaths that were placed on veteran graves in two cemeteries, Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery and Historic St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.

Troop leader John Senecal said that the pack had a great time and hope to participate in other projects with St. Agnes Cemetery in the future.

Thank you for honoring our veterans!

On National Wreaths Across America Day each December, volunteers place wreaths on individual veterans’ graves in over 1,400 locations throughout the U.S. Wreaths Across America started as a grass-roots effort to remember those willing to serve and sacrifice.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA-

REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans.

HONOR those who serve.

TEACH your children the value of freedom.

    Hi,

What a great project for the Cub Scouts while teaching great values the boys had fun. I see there was snow. Both our sons were Cubs and then moved forward in Scouting with one becoming and Eagle. Oh those proud days of a Scout’s Mom.
